The Story Of Rocko Jewellery

The Founder -

"One day I bought some cheap rings for a party. By the morning the rings had a terrible effect on me. The skin around my finger had become inflamed and itchy, lasting for weeks. Worried about my situation, I did some research into the issue, attempting to find out why these rings had such a devastating effect on my skin. And what I found out was astonishing...

I quickly discovered that my unpleasant reaction was not uncommon. Metal allergies affect around 15% of jewellery wearers! This allergic reaction is caused by a person’s body perceiving certain types of metals as toxins. Which leads to itching, redness, rash, dry patches, and swelling of the skin.

There are three types of metals that can cause allergic reactions. Lead, copper and nickel. Nickel being the most harmful of the three. After learning which metals were harmful I then wanted to learn which metals were safe to wear.

So, I looked at 925 silver and gold. However, both these metals can also cause allergic reactions. Not to mention the expensive price tag!

This is when I came across stainless steel. It was cost-effective, has high resistance, requires low maintenance and most importantly does not cause any kind of allergic reaction.

I knew then that I wanted to sell stainless steel jewellery at an affordable price. It's not as cheap as harmful metals, but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. This is why when it comes to jewellery, it is important to invest in quality, not quantity - because our health is priceless."
